Historical precursors of this language experienced three distinct shortening processes resulting in trisyllabic laxness. The Brown Corpus and a Survey of this language’s Usage grounded a “Comprehensive Grammar” of this language produced by Randolph Quirk. Dialects of this language are separated by the Humber-Lune Line.
