A depiction of a man from this people group was the basis for the Jacquard tapestry and painting version of Leon Golub's Reclining Youth. A kneeling member of this people group is one of three depictions of them discovered in a pleasure garden that are probably copies of sculptures made for an Attalid monument. In one of those sculptures, one of these people holds his lifeless (15[1])wife by the arm as he plunges a sword into his chest. Talcott Williams's pose on the far left of Thomas Eakins’ The (*) Swimming Hole (10[1])is based on a semi-recumbent marble figure identified as one of these people due to the torc on his (10[1])neck and the carnyx between his feet, though that possession of the Capitoline Museum was long-thought to depict a wounded gladiator.
