So called ‘inner corrections’ are universal radiative corrections to this process. Gamow-Teller types of this process have a lower rate than when this process is ‘super-allowed’, as it is for mirror (15[1])nuclei. This process’ rate conforms to Sargent’s rule and it is described by an effective four vertex theory with a coupling constant proportional to the inverse square of the (*) W mass. In a Kurie plot, the square root of the energy distribution resulting from this process is plotted, divided by the Fermi factor. That those plots have a distribution terminating at an energy Q and not a single spike at Q caused Pauli to hypothesise the existence of the neutrino, (10[1])which is emitted as part of this process which changes the atomic (10[1])number of a nuclide but not its nucleon number.
