One experiment’s PRISM extension will study these particles by observing an off-axis beam of them, much like an experiment with a “near detector” at FermiLab and a “far detector” in northern Minnesota. The photons and ionized electrons created due to these particles are both recorded in liquid argon time projection chambers, such as those in the ICARUS experiment. K·M·3·NeT detected an ultra-high energy one of these particles in (*) 2025 and observes them from under the Mediterranean Sea. MicroBooNE has not yet replicated MiniBooNE’s observed anomaly in a process governed by these particles’ mass splitting and mixing angle. Other Cherenkov detectors that observe these particles include IceCube and Super-K. For 10 points, name these low-mass particles that oscillate between electron, muon, and tau flavors. ■END■
