A short-lived attempt at reviving this movement was carried out by the White Wave Bandits. This movement was led by three brothers who declared themselves the generals of “Heaven,” “Earth,” and “People.” A slogan used by this movement began with the phrase “the azure sky is already dead.” This rebellion was quashed by General He Jin (“HUH jin”) and was partially motivated by grievances over the excesses of the (*) Ten (10[1])Regular Attendants. Participants in this event subscribed to the Way of Supreme Peace preached (-5[1])by the supposed sorcerer Zhang Jue (“DZONG joo-EH”). The chaos created by this Taoist-led rebellion gave way to the Three Kingdoms period.
