Rabbi Shimon Hakham translated many works into a dialect of this language, which provided much of the conjunctions and grammar of the Loterā’i lect. Loanwords and grammatical structures from this language have heavily influenced Dobhashi. Luri, Achomi, and Tat are considered either dialects of this language or closely related varieties.
