This cathedral unusually features a gallery of 22 sculptures of kings that lies underneath its rosette window. The ratio of dimensions of this cathedral’s nave, along with its floor plan, was the model for Cologne Cathedral. The trumeau of this cathedral’s west façade features a statue of Christ called the Beau Dieu. To prevent this cathedral’s choir from collapsing, Pierre Tarisel installed a wrought iron (-5[1])chain through its triforium that contracted as it cooled.
